I am more than just an assistant professor! I am also an aspiring associate professor.

Before academia, I was the cub reporter (and simultaneously the senior correspondent) for a small-town newspaper, where I wrote about everything from local political scandals to toothless bus-drivers. I like travelling by car or bicycle, and typically stop at every novelty attraction en route. Here I am at the Precious Moments Chapel in Carthage, MO.

I enjoy reading things aside from political theory, especially novels and reportage, following any sport within reach, as well as swimming, golf, and playing anything with a racquet.
Most recently, I have lived in South Bend and Minneapolis.
Now I live in New York, but I like seeing other places too.
